Jim pushed the empty glass back toward me and grimaced as the spirit hit his gums.
"Alright, I'll tell ya," he said, "but you ain't gonna believe me."
I braced myself.
"Reptoids. Lizard men. Cold blooded fucks. They send their eggs up into the black, cook 'em with cosmic rays and bring 'em back down to hatch."
He saw the look in my eye.
"I seen 'em. That's why they're wearing hazmats. They're practically glowing after two years up there!"
He ordered himself another beer and chaser.
"Make that your last," I said, "I've some friends you should meet."
