We’re in the nail-biting lull between the end of ENnies voting and the beginning of Gen Con (when we will find out if we pulled in enough votes to medal in this year’s awards!), the perfect time for a little blatant — if perhaps somewhat dated — self-promotion. Your secret masters have been busy beavers this summer (busy conspiratorial beavers), and you can see the fruits of some of our labors out in the wild now.
…which I guess, to continue the analogy, makes them some kind of occulted beaver dam. Whatever. You get the idea.
An Interview With the RPG Examiner
We were lucky enough to sit down virtually with the RPG Examiner’s Michael Tresca last week to talk about the history of the site and how thrilled we were to have been nominated for an ENnie again this year. We gushed with self-love, and refused to tease some big projects that we hope to role out in the next year. For now.
The Illuminerdy Are Published (In a One Sheet for Day After Ragnarok)
Two of our illustrious Secret Masters collaborated on a real, published adventure for Atomic Overmind’s fantastic pulp/post apocalyptic mash-up Day After Ragnarok. Buy it for Savage Worlds or Fate Core for just $1.25! Just the right length for a con season well under way, it’s a classic run and gun with a mysterious Maguffin AND a bunch of jetpack kamikazes. Grab the stats for the Rhodes University Humanities Department and you’ve go everything you need to throw it at unsuspecting players of all stripes.
A Podcast About Time Travel (and Reptoids)
As it turns out, we’ve got the game design bug. Illuminerdus Kennon Bauman appears on a video podcast from the folks at Aethercon to talk about the upcoming TimeWatch RPG from Pelgrane Press along with fellow TimeWatch contributor (and Dino Pirates of Ninja Island creator) Corey Reid and TimeWatch author Kevin Kulp. Kennon is, of course, contributing the Conspiracy section to the game. Listen and learn!
