You have almost certainly noticed a decided lack of new contact over the last few days. This is sadly deliberate, as a critical mass of the Illuminerdy were at Gen Con this last week, weaving delicate conspiracies, communing with the nine unknown, etc. Our regular posting schedule should resume over the next week or so, with bonus posts on Gen Con 2013 in review, as well as the audio from our highly successful panel on Historical Gaming for your listening pleasure.
The highlight of the week was, of course, the ENnie Awards ceremony on Friday night, where we were pleased to learn that we had — thanks to your votes — won the 2013 Silver ENnie for Best Blog, losing out only to gamer-Internet juggernaut Gnome Stew. We’ve already spent at least one post (and a brief speech [check at about the 1:50 mark]) thanking everyone we could think of for their support and contributions to the site, but can’t resist doing it one more time. Thank you to everyone who voted for us, and (most importantly) all our readers. You all are great, and you’ll be the last up against the wall when the revolution comes.
Thanks in no small part to all of you, this has been a fantastic year, and the next should be even better. Thanks for coming, and thanks for sticking around! We’re glad to have you here to help us conspire to inspire.
