So, let’s say that it’s game night, but a couple people called out last minute. What game do you play in your campaign’s place?
Our chatters responded with lots of games… from card games and dice games:
Lately, I’m digging on Zombie Dice, We Didn’t Playtest This At All, and Cthulhu Gloom.
Remember Dragon Dice
Ooo! Ooo! Puerto Rico/San Juan, and Small World can be played with two!
Last time this happened, we played some Lords of Waterdeep. That’s a really, really good game that’ll scratch a fantasy itch
One of my favorite boardgames is Talisman. It can take a few hours, but it’s a fantasy game, & fun fun fun!
Recently played Twillight Imperium again, damn that’s a fun game.
If we have all day to game… Arkham Horror is fun
War of the Ring by SPI was what I started Gaming with that and Ogre
How about cooperative board games? Forbidden Island, Pandemic, Lord of the Rings, Fury of Dracula..
even RPGs get the nod:
This weekend we’re going to play FIASCO since two players can’t make it to our game. I am fired up to play that again
The Lego Heroica games are a great way to introduce fun RPG like games to your kids and muggle friends.
Have any of you tried Mage Knight? It seemed to have an RPG-y feel to it.
@TheUniverseGM @d20Blonde They recently made a reprint. Saw it at Alliance’s retailer day. Looked really cool.http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/96848/mage-knight-board-game … #rpgchat
and classic games:
Yahtzee is another game- it uses enough dice.
I have one word: Jenga.
