My start was the D&D white box back in ’78. From there it was on to Star Frontiers, Boot Hill, and Top Secret
I started with D&D 2nd edition but it was a month before 3.0 came out so we didn’t bother to memorize anything
Funny enough now through loving 3e & loving 4e my fondest love is for Basic D&D. I’ve truly come full circle.
Uncle bought me the AD&D MM by itself, not realizing it was part of a game. Then my parents bought me the Red Box. CONFUSION!
I miss being young and irresponsible enough to game until dawn every night in the summer. Being an adult is overrated. 😉
Now that I’m reminiscing: A lot of my RPG nostalgia is convention-related. Big games. Amazing experiences. Love it.
